On 15th November, H.E. Amb. Ma Qiang attended the Opening Ceremony of the Teacher Training Programme under the China-Aided Phase II Technical Cooperation Project of Education in South Sudan together with Hon. Martin Tako Moyi, Acting Minister of General Education and Instruction; Honorable Undersecretary and Directors-General of Ministry of GE&I. 

Amb. Ma extended warm congratulations to Shanghai Educational Publishing House and the South Sudanese Ministry of GE&I on the accomplishments of the project and expressed sincere appreciation to the government of South Sudan for the support of the project. He shared that over 600 teachers and school managers shall benefit from the training programme and it is a great opportunity for the trainees to experience the educational and school managerial practice, advance their capacity, and enhance their contribution to the development and innovation of the general education sector in South Sudan. He affirmed that the Chinese government would work with the government of South Sudan under the guidance of the everlasting spirit of China-Africa friendship, to deepen the cooperation between the two countries in the education sector, and build together China - Africa community with a shared future.
