On January 15th, Hon. James Pitia Morgan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, emphasized in a meeting with Chinese Ambassador H.E. MA Qiang that the South Sudanese government has always firmly adhered to the one-China principle and opposed any external interference.

Hon. James Pitia Morgan pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, South Sudan has consistently upheld the one-China principle unswervingly, which is the core policy in handling its relations with China. Taiwan is part of China's territory, and the territorial integrity of China should be respected. The Taiwan question is entirely China's internal affair, and no external forces or individuals are allowed to interfere.
