On January 18, 2024, the handover ceremony of medicines and medical instruments from the 11th Batch of China Medical Team to Juba Teaching Hospital was held in Juba. H.E. Amb.  MA Qiang attended the ceremony with Dr. Harriet Pasquale, Director General of Medical Service of the Ministry of Health of South Sudan, Dr. Anthony Lupai Simon, Director General of Juba Teaching Hospital, the China Medical Team and representatives of Juba Teaching Hospital.

The medicines and instruments were jointly donated by the China National Health Commission and Health Commission of Anhui Province of China.

Amb. MA Qiang emphasized that with the concerted efforts of both sides, China will cooperate with South Sudan in the health sector closely and build a Global Community of Health for All.

The South Sudanese side expressed deep gratitude to the Chinese government for its medical donation.
