On January 30, 2024, H.E. Amb. Ma Qiang paid a courtesy call on Hon. Dak Duop Bichiok, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development.

Amb. Ma Qiang said that recent years have witnessed the steady and healthy development of China-South Sudan relations. The bilateral pragmatic cooperation has supported South Sudan to achieve inclusive development and to provide more public services to its people. We believe that Chinese path to modernization will provide useful reference to South Sudan and help it to turn its human resources into a driving force of development. Last year, President Xi Jinping proposed the Plan for China-Africa Cooperation on Talent Development, and the Chinese Embassy will continue to provide training opportunities to South Sudan to enhance its independent development capability.

Hon. Dak Duop Bichiok said that China is South Sudan's best friend and has helped South Sudan to improve its public services over the years. South Sudanese who have been trained in China can learn China's experience and apply it in the development of South Sudan. The minister also expressed his willingness to strengthen the cooperation with China to benefit the two peoples.
